
Francisco Vaenzuela joins the conversation for episode 1 of Season Three. Francisco talks to us about his experience in the FIFO industry with great personal insights. A great way to start the new season.
Francisco Valenzuela has been working in the oil and gas sector since leaving high school in 1993. He worked locally doing pipeline work in southern Alberta starting out as a labourer and working his way up into a safety position in 2003. He completed his OH&S certificate and attained his CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation in 2011. Francisco started living the remote work lifestyle in 2010 and attributes many positive and negative life changes with this lifestyle. He currently works as a Safety Advisor at Imperial Oil's Kearl Oil Sands site. With his 20 years safety experience in the mining and oil and gas industry and lived experience in the FIFO lifestyle he brings real life perpectives on the emotional, mental, financial and personal challenges and opportunities of the FIFO lifestyle.
