
Cookie aka Glen Cook talks about his time in safety, the dangers of working near overhead powerlines, and the tragic outcomes of being unaware of those whilst doing so. Glen also talks about real measures that can help improve the safety for those who work near powerlines, the look up and live up, and reflects on the numerous awards his hard work in raising community and industry awareness has led to.
Glen Cook (Cookie), is an experienced and enthusiastic Public Safety Specialist. Cookie is extremely passionate about raising powerline safety awareness and received the Australian Health and Safety Professional of the year at the 2020 at the Australian Work Health and Safety Awards. Working as an electrician for over 30 years within the construction and utilities industries he has been first responder to serious injury/burns and fatalities due to third party accidental contact with powerlines.
