Theo Venter
Tuesday May 23, 2023
Tuesday May 23, 2023
This week the conversation is joined by Theo Venter. Sad, tradgic, and triumphant is how I would describe Theo's journey. A wonderful conversation, honest and raw in nature. Be warned you might shed a tear. When Theo Venter removed his insulated gloves while working on a damaged transmission pole, he made a decision that would impact himself and his family in ways he couldn’t have imagined. But why did Theo, an experienced liney, make what the safety industry would tell us was a poor decision? “Just Another Day” takes an in-depth look at the way in which workplace culture dictates safety, breaking through the many myths and misunderstandings associated with our safety industry. Using tried and tested psychological concepts, Theo Venter examines why incidents and accidents still happen in your workplace today. He uses his own tragic story as living proof that a fatality lurks just around the corner, waiting silently in the background until someone in the workplace takes a “convenient option” (short-cut). Theo discusses the role of every individual within your organisation in his must-see presentation. Not just for each and every member of your work crew or work team, but for managers and leaders alike.
