Dr Dan Hill, one of my favourite people to sit down and chew the fat with about training talks about how quality training and lack thereof can directly impact on the safety of your people at the workplace. He also tells us about the newly released Training and Education package and gives us the low down on who needs it legally and the reason why having a solid understanding of assessment practices essential to workplace assessors of competency. Dr Dan also speaks of mentoring, and of skill sets. Articulate, intelligent, and just a good human being this is one of those conversations that you look up and see that already we have recorded for too long. Glen also talks about real measures that can help improve the safety for those who work near powerlines, the look up and live up, and reflects on the numerous awards his hard work in raising community and industry awareness has led to. Glen Cook (Cookie), is an experienced and enthusiastic Public Safety Specialist. Cookie is extremely passionate about raising powerline safety awareness and received the Australian Health and Safety Professional of the year at the 2020 at the Australian Work Health and Safety Awards.
